Good Shepherd Catechesis

Saint Thomas More University Parish now offers .  The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd recognizes the religious potential of even the very young child. This program is offered to children starting at the age of THREE  through THIRD grade.  The children and the catechist are co-wonderers and meet for two hours once a week in a specially prepared environment called the Atrium.   They “listen for God’s secrets,” reflect, and pray in harmony with the natural slow rhythm of the child.  This catechesis is based on Montessori principles so the approach is one of discovery and hands-on learning to better meet the needs of the child. The two pillars of this process are scripture and liturgy.
